Many of our active patients enjoy running or cycling at Albion Hills Conservation Park or exploring the gardens at Belfountain Conservation Area, and we're here to help you keep doing all those things you love.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is chiropractic care?

Chiropractic care is a non-invasive, hands-on health discipline that focuses on the neuro-musculoskeletal system, particularly the spine, and its impact on the nervous system. By correcting structural problems and removing any stress from the nervous system, the body can then function at its best.

What happens during a chiropractic adjustment?

A chiropractic adjustment involves gentle, targeted movements to realign the spine, improving mobility and relieving pressure on the nervous system. The noises you hear resembling popping sounds are your joints releasing tiny pockets of air. A chiropractic adjustment does not affect the bones of either side of a joint; it affects the connective tissue that holds the joint together.

How do I know if chiropractic care is right for me?

A consultation will help determine if chiropractic care aligns with your health goals. We'll assess your condition and discuss the potential benefits of chiropractic treatment for you. Please feel free to reach out to our office anytime if you have questions.

Are chiropractic adjustments painful, and are they safe?

Chiropractic manipulation, which uses minimal force and gentle pressure, is a highly controlled procedure that rarely causes discomfort. In fact, most patients feel relief immediately following treatment. Chiropractic manipulation, when performed by a licensed chiropractor, is considered highly safe and rarely causes discomfort.

How does osteopathy differ from chiropractic?

Osteopathic Manual Therapy is not like Chiropractic. Although Osteopathy is adjustive in nature, an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner who is trained in a classical sense does not focus their attention on subluxations like most Chiropractors, but instead focuses on treating the entire body in an integrative manner.

What can Acupuncture help with?

Acupuncture is a form of alternative medicine where thin needles are inserted into specific points on the body to stimulate energy flow. This can have various effects on the body such as;

Pain relief
Inflammation reduction
Stress reduction and relaxation
Improvement of sleep

Does Acupuncture hurt?

Not typically. Acupuncture needles are very fine, often ⅕ the diameter of those typically used for a vaccination. The sensation described by patients varies from dull, heavy, pressure or often nothing at all.

Do you accept insurance?

We do not deal directly with insurance companies. However, we will give you all necessary receipts that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
